The Garden Club of Ocean City
founded in 1974
- To encourage interest in all phases of home gardening
- To promote better horticultural practices, civic beauty, and conservation of natural resources
- To develop an aesthetic sense and experience in artistic design
Any person interested in the purpose of the club is eligible for membership. Dues are $25 per year—payable by the beginning of June.
All members are encouraged to participate in club activities, to attend meetings regularly, to serve on a committee or to hold an office, and to prepare a dessert once a year.
Bag Lunch & Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the months—September to June—at 12:00 noon at the Holy Trinity Church, 30th and Bay Avenue, unless otherwise stated.
Monthly meetings include the opportunity for members to share Horticulture from their garden and/or an artistic design utilizing plant materials.
Meetings feature guest experts and presenters who willingly share their horticultural knowledge. Field trips and the annual Ocean City Flower Show provide additional information for the new or experienced gardener.
