The Sandpiper Orchid Society is co-sponsoring a trip with the Atlantic Audubon Society to Longwood Gardens. Miss the holiday crowds and enjoy Longwood Gardens and its fabulous holiday display at your leisure. Walt Off, of Waldor Orchids, will try to arrange a behind the scenes tour!
What: Longwood Gardens Holiday Display Bus Trip
When: Tuesday, January 5, 2016. The bus will depart at 10:00 AM from the Atlantic County Library, Galloway Branch, 306 E Jimmie Leeds Road, Galloway, NJ 08205
Return: Depart Longwood at 5:00 PM (you will be home by 7:00 PM).
Cost: $50.00/person—includes admission. Checks can be made out to the Atlantic Audubon Society and mailed to: Janice Weisgerber, 407 S. Nectar Avenue, Galloway, NJ 08205. Phone# (609) 432-1924.

Sandpiper Orchid Society Invitation!
The Sandpiper Orchid Society would like to invite our friends from the Garden Club of Ocean City to our next meeting. It will be Thursday, August 27th at the Galloway Township Library, Jim Leeds Road, Galloway, NJ, 08205. The meeting will start promptly at 7:30 pm. Socializing will be from 7:00pm to 7:30pm. Our speaker will be Monroe Kokin. He currently grows over 1200 orchids. He will speak to us about Bulbophyllum Orchids. He is also a professional photographer and takes photos for AOS Judging Centers. He will be photographing the plants on our show table and give us some photography tips. Hope to see you all there. It’s spring. What is more magical than gathering in the garden with children, reading their favorite stories, and letting your imagination bloom?
The Garden Club of Cape May Flower Show celebrates Spring Friday, May 16, 2014 at the Cape May Convention Hall on the Promenade. This yearʼs theme A Magical Garden of Childrenʼs Stories will inspire members to create artistic arrangements interpreting Little Red Riding Hood, Thumbelina, Through the Looking Glass, The Secret Garden and other favorites. The Wonderful Wizard of Oz will be the central exhibit.
See the horticultural exhibits and special presentations by the first graders of
Cape May Elementary School and the Agriscience and Horticulture students of Cape May County Technical High School. Revisit your youth through the world of children’s storybooks! Free admission and refreshments. Show hours 12:30 pm to 7:00 pm. A garden marketplace of vendors features a variety of plants, garden accessories, landscape services, and much more.
